JOIN BOTH POP:DESIGNING PLACES FOR LIFE and POP:LEADING FROM PLACE in 2025.
If you would like to join BOTH programmes, including Power of Place:Designing Places For Life AND Power of Place: Leading From Place plus participation in one retreat an offer of £2195.00 + VAT is open until 10th March 2025.
At the time of booking we will be in touch with you to decide whether you would prefer to join the Selgars Mill retreat in the Spring or the Lluc retreat in the Autumn. The programmes are subtly different but both enable us to work on the qualities of regenerative leadership, which include:
MULTIPLICITY – the ability to image evolution of a complex system
SHOCK & AWE – when and how to apply intentional cultural shock, and how to re-engage humans with the wonder of living systems
FRAMEWORK THINKING – practice at pulling the right framework out of the framework hat at the right time
SHAMANS OF SENSEMAKING – how to use storytelling, patterning and process to help us make sense of complexity and collapse.

OUR RIGHT RELATIONSHIP
The agreement you make with us to ensure we have a healthy culture in Power of Place.
We have developed and adapted our ‘right relationship’ from the No Nonsense Behaviour Policy created by Shared Assets and Land In Our Names.
Power of Place is a place for people to come together, learn and develop their regenerative practice. There will be differences of worldviews, opinion and experience. Not everyone will agree with everything that is said. Discussion and debate must be done within the context of respect for others and other opinions and difference.
It is a collective space for sharing and being with one another in a respectful way, whilst also recognising that people come from unique backgrounds and are affected differently and to varying degrees by structural oppression on the basis of race, gender, class, sexuality, culture.
Please respect the Journey as a shared space and be kind and respectful to one another.
Please be mindful of:
TAKING SPACE – GIVING SPACE
People in the programme carry different privileges. We recognise power dynamics exist in the room as they do in society. Be aware of the space you take up, your assumptions and prejudices and allow space for everyone to participate. We aim to create a space where all voices can be heard and everyone feels they can speak as and when they are moved to do so.
RESPECT DIFFERENCE
We welcome people with different life experiences, values, and perspectives, as well as ways of learning. We think differently to one another and should be able to express differing opinions. If someone behaves in a way that challenges your values, do your best to invite them into awareness rather than dismissing, shaming, or shunning them and try to leave room to consider that there may be something for you to learn from the values of others.
LANGUAGE MATTERS
Respect everyone’s identity and background, including pronouns and names. Try not to assume anyone’s gender identity, sexual preference, survivor status, economic or immigration status, background, health, etc.
BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS
Be aware that your actions have an effect on others, despite what your intentions may be. Think about how they might be influenced and who they might exclude or harm. Listen and reflect on your behaviour if someone tells you it is causing harm.
SELF SUPPORT THROUGH TRAUMA AND TRIGGER
We are journeying together in a time when we may each be processing significant grief for the planet. We all also live in societies which carry varying degrees of trauma. The design of our programmes incorporates a process to foster openness, confidence and psychological safety in the zoom room and in person. However we cannot offer individual support to those of you who may be undergoing difficult personal circumstances or processing individual trauma. You are welcome to join Power of Place but we recommend you do so with the support of a professional counsellor with whom you can work.
